This TV has an astounding picture quality. Read all of the reviews of the A model, listened to sales people in the store and went with the B which is the 2009 model. I am not a techie so you will need to look elsewhere for that but I would highly recommend this TV. One little note, the manual is located on a Flashdrive that plugs into the TV. Hooked up the digital camera to show pictures. It was easy, I didn't even need to refer to the directions. This TV has features we will probably never use but it is well equipped. I purchased this item last week 3-27-09 without the luxury of any reviews posted.. Just the picture I saw at B.B... I also purchased the Blue Ray player... The picture on this TV is Awesome... It should be noted that I have not purchased this TV. I did spend several hours comparing the two versions at Best Buy and this is what I found:
The B650 has a MUCH clearer picture. And by "clearer", I mean more defined with a sharper contrast, brighter whites and darker darks.

I attribute this to the doubling of the contrast ratio. The A650 has a 50,000:1 whereas the B650 has 100,000:1. For those that do not know about contrast, the contrast ratio measures how many stages there are between the darkest dark to the whitest white a crystal can do. The problem is that the manufacturers do NOT use the same standard for what "dark" really is. Additionally, their darkest dark is measured when the tv is OFF - not very helpful since you're not seeing how dark the crystal can actually get. The B650 looked like a HD set while the A650 looked like a regular flatscreen.

I had the salesman put both tvs with the same settings to compare the two realistically. I also looked for the motion and "ghosting" that occurs when action is moving. For this test, I looked closely at a soccer game being displayed on the two tvs. Again the B650 did not show quite as much "trailing" that the A650 did. Although both sets were 120hz, the B650 out shown the A650 hands down. The response time (how long the crystal takes to go from white, to dark, back to white again) for both of these sets is 4ms; but the B650 seemed to have a much more fluid motion - much like if you were watching real life.

I am going to hold out some more to see if the price of these go down, but I am definitely going to purchase the B650 instead of the A650. Honestly, the best way is to go to Best Buy and see for yourself. Don't be afraid to ask the sales people to adjust the color and contrast for you.

I just bought the LN46B650, was delivered in < 5 days (including the day I purchased it) excellent service all around so far. I love the TV and recommend it to all. I just had one question maybe someone could help me out with... I've heard bad reviews about using the "Wireless Linkstik" and how it doesn't support the DLNA technology, but has anybody tried using this "NETGEAR - Wall-Plugged Ethernet Bridge" (or something similar) that BB has instead of running 50' of ethernet? There are lots of in-depth reviews of this TV on the web, so I won't go in to too much detail here. I will say that the picture quality is awesome on this model, and that I'm very happy with my purchase. The red touch of color isn't too obvious (I still wish Samsung would abandon the TOC though). The swivel base is nice, too.

The "auto-motion plus" (AMP) feature is improved over the 2008 model by allowing you to fine-tune the settings more. AMP is the technology that fills in extra frames (120Hz) so video doesn't look so "jerky". Owners of the 2008 model sometimes had complaints that they could not adjust the AMP setting enough to their liking. The 2009 model allows greater customization.

"Game mode" helps eliminate the lag when playing games. Once I turned this mode on, there was no lag when playing "Rock Band" and other games on the PS3.

I am using HDMI v1.3b cables that only cost a dollar from BargainCell. Images are awesome. Don't spend more than that for HDMI cables!!! Research the web or look at the reviews for HDMI cables on Amazon to find out why. You will not notice any difference in image quality no matter how expensive an HDMI cable is.

The sound on the TV is a little flat, and doesn't have much bass. But I am hooking my PS3 and DirecTV sound to an Onkyo receiver and Energy speakers (which sound great!), so it didn't matter to me.

Keep in mind that the 650 models (like this one) have a gloss panel. This causes reflections to show from windows and lights. If you're looking for the semi-matte screens that help cut down on this, you'll want to check out the 630 models.

My TV was shipped via Pilot freight services. They made a courtesy call to me stating that because of where I live, that one of their partners (a moving company) would be making the delivery. As a result, it tacked on a few extra days for the product to arrive, but it arrived in perfect condition and the moving company set up the TV and made sure it worked and that I was happy with it before they left.

I recently cracked the screen of my "A" and just went out and bought a "B" yesterday and it is definitely a better TV as far as user controls and options. As far as the quality of the picture I couldn't notice a diffrence between the A & B. Either way this is a high qaulity T.V. If price is your main concern I would probably stick with the A650 because it's basically the same TV. The square base kinda sucks on the "B", I would rather have the Oval one. Anyway GREAT TV, Highly Recommended.

Update 4/23 - I've had some time with my TV and it's still great. I did notice that unlike the "A" you have to manually switch from Game mode and Film mold manually with the "B". I replaced a Sony rear projection (one that died after 3 years due to a defect that resulted in a lawsuit...let's just say, no more Sony in this house). This set is fantastic. HDTV looks amazing, like a window. Standard def looks three dimensional. I notice no lag with a Wii (I imagine other more advanced consoles may have lag issues). The setup was easy, the controls intuitive, and the feature set is pretty damn fine.

All in all, I would not buy any other television at any price.

I just received my LN46B650 today so I may update this review in time. Feel free to comment with questions and I'll try to respond to them in later updates.

UNBOXING
The box for the LN46B650 comes is not too much larger than the TV dimensions itself. Sometimes you'll see a 32" TV come in a box that could easily fit one much larger. I wouldn't exactly call it environmentally friendly, but the box easily fit through doorways and into the elevator of my apartment building. The box is fitted with Styrofoam at the corners to keep the TV in its place and inflated plastic bags filling in all the empty space. There is the typical screen protective plastic in place and I found that the TV came in excellent condition with no noticeable shipping damage. I did not use Amazon.com's shipping company, the handling of other shippers may vary.

In the box is the stand (which comes with assembly instructions, though mine was already assembled), remote, 2 x AA batteries, a USB flash drive containing multimedia content and the TV instruction manual, a cover for the bottom of the TV in case you wish to mount it on a wall, a cleaning cover,screws for securing the stand to the TV, a power cord and a software CD for connecting the TV to a Windows Vista or XP computer via ethernet connections.

Moving the box by myself was a bit difficult as it is still quite larger, once I got it out of the box though, the TV is very light for a 23 year old male and getting it on the stand was very easy. Once on the stand it snaps in place, you can (optionally) insert screws to keep it locked into the stand.

Inserting the power cord and connecting my components to the TV was easy, but the cable management system for the TV is pretty much non existent -- cables pretty much dangle behind the TV.

DESIGN
There is a lot of debate about whether the Touch of Color Red Design is a good thing or bad thing. Also, you'll see on last year's models that some people claim it's barely noticeable while some people claim it's a major game changer. My TV sits on a black TV stand in a spot in the room that sits in the shade -- I can barely see the red color. However, I feel that if you were to shine a lot of light on it, it would quickly become very noticeable.

The bezel is not quite as thick as I thought it looked in the Amazon.com pictures (which are Samsung's official PR shots). There is a somewhat "fat" pointed chin which I don't think looks too terrible. If you look at the pictures you'll notice that the glass of the bezel extends about half an inch beyond the actual TV bezel, I kind of like it. The neck of the stand is a glass pillar and very nice looking. The stand itself is surprisingly deep compared to the TV stand, but, again, not a bad thing, it's just hard to see in the pictures.

The built in TV controls sit on the bottom right hand corner of the bezel and are impossible to see from more than a foot away. It's a good thing for watching movies, but when I told somebody how to lower the volume on the TV, they couldn't find the buttons. I should also note that the buttons are touch sensitive there's no tactile way to find them or get feedback when pressing them. To the right of the buttons is a red light that turns on when the remote is pressed or the TV controls are pressed. It is otherwise always off unless the TV is in standby.

I should point out that the TV is very glossy and during very dark scenes it is absolutely necessary to shade your windows. Even when the not in dark scenes, I found that the bezel reflects what the screen does not. When I closed my blinds, the TV looks absolutely superb. The bezel is no longer noticeable, dark scenes are fantastic.

The remote is fairly straight forward. The design is just a tiny bit red like the TV bezel, buttons are nice and large and easy to memorize. The backlight button for the remote sits in the top right corner of it and when pressed illuminates the keys fairly well.

There are a good number of connectivity options which are thoroughly explained on the Amazon.com specs or on Samsung's website.

MENUS/SETTINGS
Turning the TV sent me through a few welcome menus that I didn't particularly want. The first thing the TV did was begin scanning for channels -- but I have my cable box connected via HDMI so there was nothing to scan. Stopping the channel scan process was easy, though, and when I got out of the welcome menus and switched to the HDMI 1 source, the TV was easy to use.

The menu layout is not atypical of other HDTVs you may have had the chance to use. Pushing the menu button brings up a series of menus indicated by pictograms for picture, audio, antenna setup, general TV setup, input setup, Application (media/internet functions) and Help. One thing I don't like, is that one feature that I like to be able to adjust on the fly, automotion plus (or refresh rate), is buried in menu -> picture -> picture options -> Auto Motion Plus. It's a pain to get to if you're just trying to adjust the setting for one channel.

The menu gives you very simple descriptions for each setting that you're adjusting. Sometimes they're fairly obvious but I imagine for some people it clears up some ambiguity. For an example, when I highlight "color" the bottom of the menu reads, "Adjusts the color saturation of the picture using the bar on the screen. The closer to 100, the more saturated the color."

I connected my TV directly to my computer network via ethernet cable. I had absolutely no issue in setting this up, the TV detected my network settings without any problems.

One nice feature is that you can rename the sources on your TV to pre-designated alternates. For an example, I named HDMI1 "Cable Set Top Box" and HDMI2 "Game" and Component1 "DVD." It makes things easier for non-technical people. Picture settings are always retained based on the source, if you keep your HDMI source on "movie" mode and adjust the picture settings, every time you watch HDMI these settings will be restored.

FEATURES
I need to start out with my favorite feature on the TV: Customized Auto-Motion Plus. For those of you not familiar with the feature, it's what Samsung calls their 120hz capabilities. If you look at older LCD TV screens you might find that the picture tends to look blurry or judders in fast motion sequences. This technology, found in most middle and high-end LCD HDTVs in 2009, adds in extra frames to smooth out the motion.

On my old XBR4, I could adjust the 120hz to either off, standard or high. On the LN46B650, I can adjust the blur from 0-10 and the judder from 0-10. It's a great feature, I'm still toying around to figure out what I like most for which content.

Other unique features not in other brands is the Internet Content which includes a series of Yahoo Widgets. I must point out that these features are VERY slow regardless of your internet connection. It takes about 20-30 seconds to start them up initially after you turn your TV on and then take about 5 seconds to load from that point on. There is a significant lag when switching through the widgets content. The built in widgets include weather, news, flickr and finance. I've heard there are more widgets coming out soon -- possibly a Netflix widget? -- but as of April 30, 2009, there are none available. I'm praying that future firmware updates to the TV fix some of the slow speed. cnet.com provides a more thorough review of these features.

The TV also comes with a fair amount of material stored in its internal memory and Samsung also includes it on a flashdrive which you can tweak on your personal computer. Pushing the content button on the remote closes whatever your watching and offers you a photo gallery which has pictures of art in slide show form (accompanied by adjustable music), a few recipes (why? Do people actually want to read recipes off of their TV screen? Is somebody putting a 46 inch LCD HDTV in their kitchen? I must say, though, the pictures of the food looks good), games (haven't tried these yet, I don't know if I ever will), children (a bunch of stories that look like flash cartoons with subtitles for kids to read along with), and wellness (a bunch of nature audio tracks and a few piano pieces). There is a total of 189 MB on the TV set aside for this content, you can download more of it off the internet or load it on via USB flashdrive or hard drive. It's really nothing too exciting, I have no intention to use it. But, I will point out, that it's far easier to use and faster than the Yahoo Internet Widgets.

The TV hooks up to an external hard drive or flash drive. I connected my 4 GB flashdrive with a bunch of movies formatted for my iPod on it. The TV played them without any problems, but the stretched content did not look too good -- that's no surprise considering the iPod screen is less than 3 inches in size. Eventually I might try to move some saved HD content to my flash drive.

The Help section of the menu is fantastic for those who are not familiar with HDTV settings.

There is a "product guide" which pretty much explains how to use most of the TV's internet and content features, an explanation of how HD picture quality varies and works -- pretty much a powerpoint presentation -- and how you can use the TV's settings to get the most out of basic features and an explanation of how to save energy with TV settings.

A self-diagnosis section brings up a sample HD picture or audio track to test to see if there is a problem with your TV. I imagine if you start seeing artifacts on your TV or quality problems it might be a good way to see if it's the TV or a component you have connected to it.

This section also gives you contact info for samsung and is where you go to upgrade the TV firmware. Your TV is not usable when upgrading its firmware (or internal software). There has been a software upgrade issued since this TV reached the market. It takes less than 2 minutes to download and install over cable internet.

You'll find that there is a myriad of picture adjustments you can make. As I mentioned, the 120Hz refresh rate and dejudder modes, also called automotion, is superb. There are five color temperature presets, I like the warm2 the best with the naked eye but you can make custom adjustments to the white balance and colorspace settings. There's a film mode to use 2:3 pull-down -- including on 1080i sources -- gamma adjustment, dynamic contrast control, black tone controls and a flesh tone setting which I haven't toyed with at all. You can adjust the aspect ratio to turn overscan on and off or to stretch the picture, etc. These are typical on most mid-high end HDTVs for 2009. There is also picture-in-picture via different sources available if you use features like that.

There are also some energy saver features, which will adjust the brightness and other power consuming functions as you wish, but you'll probably see a decrease in picture quality the more these are turned on.

PERFORMANCE
I haven't had a chance to get out any calibration equipment and do anything serious to see how the TV looks at it's best. Out of the box, my first impression is that the picture quality is superb. I made some quick tweaks based on my personal preferences, but the colors seem to be very deep and accurate to my eye. Blacks are very very dark. I saw an early review of this TV that complained of clouding on the TV at the corners, I haven't seen any evidence of that no matter how dark I try to make the room. The screen appears to be very uniform from what I can tell with the naked eye. I might do some tests later, but I think some people have already done so on avsforum.com.

I can't imagine the typical viewer being disappointed with any aspect of the picture. It's probably the best HD picture I've ever seen, though I haven't seen most of the 2009 models, I'm gauging this based on 2008 models. But in sum: great contrast, accurate colors, great customizable processing, deep blacks, uniform screen.

I know there is some confusion about whether this is 10-bit or 8-bit unit, and I can't be positive (is there a good way to check?). I will say that there is no noticeable color banding at all that you might see in an 8-bit unit.

I took a look at SD content from both a DVD (via component cables with no upscaling) and cable TV. Obviously, it's no where near as good as HD content. I will say that if you want a TV at this size, regardless of what TV you get, you should shell out the bucks for HD broadcasting or at least a blu-ray player. With that said, the SD quality is pretty good. The picture still looks detailed with good noise reduction and gets rid of most of the moire issues you might encounter on other sets.

The sound quality is fine. Nothing great. The speakers of the TV fire downwards, so sometimes it sounds like that the voices of people on the TV are coming from the TV stand rather than the screen. I use my own speakers for most content and I suggest you consider doing the same if you're an audiophile. I won't go into sound quality much more than that because if you really expect a flat panel TV to have mind blowing sound, you need to reassess your expectations.

If you're a gamer, and I mean a *serious* gamer, and need a very fast response rate, then you might want to consider a different TV. Even when game mode on this TV is turned on, you won't be 100% pleased. If you're a more typical gamer or don't play games, this should NOT affect your opinion of this TV. I've played my xbox 360 and it is more than apt for the typical gamer. I can't imagine casual gamers running into issues especially since gaming where timing is crucial -- like guitar hero or rock band -- allow you to calibrate the game to compensate for any delay. I've tried playing with my xbox 360 a little bit on it and I haven't had any problems. I also should point out that I watched the Netflix live streaming HD content via xbox 360 connected over HDMI and the content looks superb.

As I mentioned before, the automotion features of this TV are superb. I love being able to adjust it to my preferences exactly. If you get this TV, you won't be disappointed with that feature.

WRAP UP...
The Picture quality of this TV is absolutely superb compared to all the 2008 LCDs I've seen and I imagine it is one of the best of the 2009 models. The features are expansive but you'll probably not end up using the internet or media content built in unless Samsung improves it. The screen is glossy so beware of bright rooms! Don't forget that -- I mentioned it early in the review. Otherwise, I can't imagine a better picture from an LCD.

--UPDATE: May 1, 2009 -- CLARIFICATION ON GAMING
So there was a question as to what the problem is for gamers. Let me be clear, the graphics quality with games is still excellent on my xbox 360. I have played with 120hz at full with the games and the processing is very good. I've also played with game mode turned on which exchanges some of the picture quality for better latency.

Before I continue, let me note, once again, that this is NOT a problem for a large majority of gamers.

So then what's the problem? When comparing this TV to a high end computer monitor there is a bit more input lag. For most people, this is completely undetectable, but it is there despite that this TV has far superior picture quality to pretty much every other LCD out there in the price range.

For those of you not familiar with input lag, what it basically means is that when you use a video game, there is a slight delay (and I'm talking nano or miliseconds) between when you press a button on the controller/mouse/keyboard and when the change is registered on the screen. There is ABSOLUTELY no TV or computer screen out there that has 0 lag and there are other factors that play in here (such as the speed of the computer or game console).

I did a few homemade tests and I estimate that the input latency is about 30-35 ms on average with game mode turned on or about 100-120 ms with game mode turned off. That score is actually pretty good compared to most LCD TV screens in this price range, but doesn't keep up with some of the high end Panasonics which are renowned for their low latency. For most people, anything less than 150-200 ms is usually perfectly fine. For others who play a lot of online games with their PC hooked up to their computers and need maximum efficiency, they might want to look at some Panasonic models.

Please be careful, the response rate on the TV is rated at 4 ms. That is true. The pixels on this TV should average a 4 ms response rate which is excellent. What I'm talking about here is the lag it takes for the TV to register a change made in a game controller, through the game console or computer and through the TV video processing. The input lag has nothing to do with picture quality -- in fact, it's likely that less input lag also means less picture quality -- or audio quality. It will not be noticeable to most gamers.

--UPDATE: May 1, 2009-- SD Picture Quality
I've had a chance to watch a lot more SD quality broadcast on SD channels and have to say that after tweaking some settings, I'm really thoroughly impressed. This is some of the best SD rendering I've seen on an HD set. Colors pop very well and the AMP cleans up a lot of the blur well when you get it to just the right settings. I spent some time last night watching baseball games switching between HD and SD feeds and found that I could get the movement of the ball and swing of the bat to look pretty good on an SD feed and when in HD, the AMP handles it very well in 1080i. 720p actually looks a bit better when following balls hit into the field, but this is to be expected with progressive rather than interlaced video (there's a long explanation I could go into for this, but, for simplicity sake: 720p/1080p will show most motion better but is especially good when the entire picture is moving -- like camera pans -- 1080i is actually pretty good when the camera is steady and there is one object moving on the screen, but terrible when the camera pans or there are a lot of objects in motion).

--UPDATE May 14, 2009 -- "FINAL" CALIBRATION
This is my updated settings for what I consider my final calibration for the TV. Please note that your results will undoubtedly vary if you perform your own calibration or hire a professional to do it for you. Also note that I did this for a blu-ray source, often you'll find you want different settings for different sources. (NOTE: ALL TVs ARE DIFFERENT, EVEN WITH THIS MODEL, THESE MAY NOT BE YOUR IDEAL SETTINGS)

If you're not picky or usually don't calibrate your TV, there's really no need to do much to the default settings. --UPDATE May 8, 2009 -- COMMENT ON B650 vs B750
A comment was posted in reply to this review that the B750 is a hands down choice over the B650. I just wanted to note that the B750 probably is a superior model to this one, but it comes at a higher price.

There are three key changes to the B750 model: 240hz refresh rate, a matte screen, 150,000:1 contrast ratio. This all costs about an additional $250-$300 depending on when/where you buy. For some people, that isn't much of a difference when you're already spending nearly $2000 on a TV, and if that's the case, I see no reason not to buy the b750 model.

I think it's also worth note, however, that cnet and other reviewers have argued that the benefits of 240hz refresh rates over 120hz is fairly insignificant and difficult to notice (see their reviews for the Sony XBR9 series and last year's Sony KDL-52XBR7). Their chief TV critic argues in separate article in 2008 that 240hz was not worth waiting for. But, I still think it's worth going into a store and taking a look at the differences between 240hz and 120hz before making a final decision.

The matte screen is really a matter of preference and your room. I've already noted in this review that the B650 screen is very glossy and, in dark scenes, may reflect ambient light in the room. A matte screen should reduce these problems (though it's unlikely it will completely eliminate them). At the same time, a glossy screen can make colors "pop" more and sometimes make blacks look even deeper.

As far as dynamic contrast ratio is concerned, there is a lot of debate in the A/V community about how these measurements are taken and how well they can be used to judge actual quality. The dynamic contrast ratio is a measure of the difference between the screen's whitest white and blackest black. That means they measure the white with the TV screen brightness at maximum and the black with the brightness at its darkest. These measurements can further be thwarted by the coating on the screen (a matte screen vs a glossy screen on top of the same panel will yield different results). Also, there are absolutely no standards in how these measurements are taken. That means that Samsung can use different methods to measure the contrast ratio on different models. Likewise, Sony likely uses a very different measurement system than Samsung. That's not to say the B750 contrast ratio is the same (or worse) than the B650, I'm just saying that it may not be discernible to your eye. You need to judge it yourself.

As I've said, the best way to evaluate these differences are to see the models in person. If you do, make sure that you are watching an HD source (preferably a 1080p blu ray player) and that each TV is connected to the HD source in the same way and are showing the same movie. I bought this TV because I needed one before the b750 was scheduled to be released, otherwise I might have given the b750 much greater consideration.

--UPDATE May 8, 2009 -- ONE WEEK IN....
So I've had this TV for 8 days now and I have to say that I'm still very please with my choice. One item I have noticed that I didn't point out before is that the bezel does pick up some dust. I think this is because when it was in the box it developed some electrical charge. Hence, Styrofoam kind of stuck to the bezel a little bit. A few swipes around the bezel with a swifter seemed to get all the dust off. Since then, I have tried to avoid touching the bezel as it does pick up finger prints fairly easily. However, I, for one, rarely touch my TV screen and don't mind this as it gives the TV a nice glossy look (which makes it better to look at it when it's turned off).

Another feature I wish Samsung had included would have been a height adjustable stand. I know that most TV's don't have this option, but I feel like the TV sits just an inch or two too low for my tastes. I measured the distance between the bottom of the base and the bottom of the actual screen and it's about 6.5 inches. If you want the screen any higher, you'll either have to get a higher TV stand or wall mount the screen.

Another feature I've tried using is the automatic volume control, which I haven't been too impressed with. As I said earlier, I didn't expect much from the TV speakers and usually use my own sound system. But, if you're expecting to use the TV speakers, don't expect much from the auto-volume control. What the feature is supposed to do is keep the volume consistent between channels and sources. I actually found myself adjusting the volume *more* when this feature was turned on than when it was turned off.

Also, a quick update on the Yahoo! Widgets: there are a bunch of new ones out! There are a few games available now and an app for Twitter and Yahoo video. I installed the latter two and can say that, though I don't really use twitter much, it's kind of neat being able to see all your friends' updates from your TV screen when you're too lazy to check a computer or cell phone.

The Yahoo video content isn't exactly HD quality. In fact, it looks significantly worse than typical SD cable quality. I suppose that should be expected since the video content is meant to be played on the web. The video selection isn't as broad as you might see on YouTube, but it's fairly well categorized. I watched a few movie trailers on it before I decided I'd rather watch the HD quality ones on my 15 inch laptop.

The speed of the widgets have improved a tiny bit. Once you update the TV firmware to version 1007, you might see a moderate improvement. However, going through the various screens to try to access an item like a Yahoo video can feel slow and tedious. I think Samsung and Yahoo have a nice idea here, but it's hardly a winner.

Yet, my biggest priority when buying an HDTV was the picture quality and in that respect this TV is still a definite winner. Even from off-angle viewing, I've been very impressed by the color accuracy, black levels, screen uniformity and video processing. Add that to its superb connectivity, an attractive design and usability and that's why I continue to give this TV five stars, hands down. The cons of the TV have been mostly what I consider secondary features: internet functions being slow and the audio not being anything special.

I purchased the Samsung LN46B650 HDTV through Amazon on March 29, soon after it was first advertised, and after reading lots of reviews of the 2008 "A" model; and comparing the picture with the Sony Bravia with similar features at Best Buy. I have HD service from Cox and have it all hooked up to a surround sound system and a Sony blu-ray player.

After having watched it for a month, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The picture is terrific; Blu-rays look fabulous; the remote is pretty user-friendly ( I don't know why all the complaints on the LN46A model from last year, unless they've changed the remote); and the glare isn't that bad, even in a room that has lots of natural light. Without the stereo system sound, the TV speakers are decent, much better than on the 7-yr. old Hitachi I previously used. Even my wife, who is not big on TV, was astonished at the clarity of the picture. And the price I got was only about $100 more than Amazon's price on the 2008 "A" model at the time(of course, now the A model has been reduced a couple of hundred$ more) and about $500 less than the Best Buy price on the new "B" model.
The only less than satisfying part of the process was the delivery - they just took it out of the box and plugged it in to see that it worked - nothing special.
So far, it's been a great TV and I recommend it highly.

I bought this TV about an year ago. Its one of the best thing I spent my money on. Everything everyone wrote on here is true. The picture quality is the best. Even turned off, the tv looks like a work of art with its red hints. Its not the kind of retro red that would embarace you with your friends over at home. Its very mild hint of red, which you wont notice unless you look for it. I love the glass frame. Makes the tv looks soo smooth. I do recall, I had to download a latest driver and update it because someone on the site had recommended.

FOr the picture quality, I think this tv has one of the best black display or something like that, and you could literally see it. I didnt know what that really meant when I read the reviews, but once I got to see the pictures myself, I got it.

I think Anything lesser to a HDTV on this tv isnt doing justice to the picture quality on this tv. so if you are tryign this tv for the first time, check out a HDTV. BluRay rocks.

I got one of those panasonic home theater sound system (thought the claim is that this tv has the best sound, I felt the sound isnt matching to the amazing picture quality, so I had to get the surround sound.). It does make a great difference.

I also added the PS3 (just for the Blu Ray and I also got a good deal on sony.com with a 100$back, with which I coudlnt go wrong!). I think now I feel like I really have a good media system. I am happy with it.

Few things I learnt while having the TV - for the surround system, use optical cable, if you care for surround system. If you are watching BluRay or your own local Cable box, get the Optical cable from these devices directly into your surround system rather than getting the optical out from tv to surround. I think the TV doesnt send out real surround system, even if u use the optical out from TV. I dont know how these things work, but that is much of what I learnt myself. THis might come in handy, if you are playing with these components.

If at all I could pick on something, it would be this. I wish the tv could take in multiple optical input, and send it out via one optical out, so I dont have to keep switching the optical cables myself every time i go from cable to bluray.

I almost forgot, the remote that comes with the Tv, lights up in the dark which is sooo cool!..

I think with all this , if you think I shouldnt give this product a 5 star, you better have a whole lot of real reasons :)

I ordered this TV on April 28th and due to work schedule, had selected a scheduled delivery for May 5th between 4pm and 8pm. I waited all four hours at home and no delivery. I called the shipper for Amazon, CEVA Logistics and the guy I talked to did not have an answer why my TV was not delivered. He told me I would get a call tomorrow. CEVA did call me the next morning as promised and delivery was set for 1pm-2pm. I found out from CEVA that they didn't have a valid phone number for me. When I asked what number they had, she gave me my home number (without area code) followed by three zeros. Turns out there was some error entering my phone number without area code into computer and it read the phone number as invalid. The person from CEVA said my TV had been there for a couple days but couldn't call to confirm the scheduled delivery time. I guess my point is, if you have a scheduled delivery with a shipper and they don't call at least by the day before the delivery day, you may want to call them to confirm they are coming. It will save four hours of frustration and wasted time.

The TV did get delivered the next day as promised. The packaging was in great shape and the TV itself had no damage. So far the HD picture is excellent on this TV and it looks great in the room. I wanted to share my experience buying this TV b/c its incredibly bad. I initially bought this tv using a amazon store card but it has limits and it does not give you the option to buy the rest of the TV cost using another method. I got an email from amazon then stating that you should use a gift card to purchase the rest of the cost. So I did. So far so good. Then I kept getting emails from Amazon saying that I have been denied the purchase...i kept calling amazon and the Store card people...note these are two separate companies!! and so they dont COMMUNICATE and one says that the other is wrong!! But wait!!..there is more. I finally got a level headed person from amazon and they made a conference call with the store card people and all of us could talk together...and get this the amazon person and store card person were fighting!!! with EACH OTHER!!! and you know what happens when two women fight...geezus man, i just wanted my TV!! after at least 12 hours (all hours combined) and headaches...i am finally getting my tv shipped today...for next week!! which sucks b/c i wanted to give it to my wife for mothers day...anyway amazon is a great company and all( i dont want a crappy tv delivered since I havent got it yet!) and so this rating is for the STORE CARD people...amazon was nice enough to give me some freebies for the hassle...i sure hope this tv is worth it...

So there are some real losers replying to the post and they just dont get it....anyway here is my update.

TV arrived fine no problems. But the guy who came to deliver it from amazon did not know anything...he was a nice guy though and he helped move the TV and at least plug it in. He did not know how to calibrate the picture or anything like that which is fine..didnt expect him to.
I turned the TV on attached a DVD player and it looked like HOME VIDEO!!
I hope I didnt pay 1700 for this! So I searched on the internet to look for calibration settings and I even tried to calibrate according to another amazon post but to no avail...it looks like home video... so if anyone who is knowledgable ( not like some of these guys who already posted) can help, would be much appreciated otherwise this TV goes back soon!!
By the way, some of those posting on this website, you obviously lack any class...instead of helping others, your posts only try to put down people and are not helpful...maybe hired by amazon or something...who knows...in any case, please done post your negative comments unless they are trying to help people understand the TV and the experience you had buying it...And my 1 star ratings is consistent...I am dissappointed with the TV. The LN46B650 has the best HD picture I have ever seen. The contrast is amazing and the colors are accurate and vivid. Black backgrounds are black, not gray. My only complaint was that Samsung did not include a quick start guide, only a basic sheet explaining how to connect the USB thumb drive that contains the manual. I bought this puppy 4 weeks ago. When I watch blue ray DVDs, the experience feels better than in the theater. Sometimes, even the imperfections in the make up of artists are visible in these movies; and I am talking about Dark Knight and Bond films. I received the Samsung LN46B650 model about one month ago and have been very pleased with the unit overall. I have it connected to a DirecTV HD-DVR receiver and the HD content displayed is outstanding. You may need to tweak the various settings on the TV to get the best aesthetically-pleasing screen image and the intuitive layout of the TV's remote makes tweaking settings on the TV very easy. TV Remote does have a backlight keypad feature that may be turned on/off at will and many of the buttons are very large and provide a decent tactile feel when pressed. The TV speakers are serviceable, but this panel would really benefit from being attached to a good quality home theater system. As previously mentioned, there are very many options for tweaking the TV's picture depending on the ambient level of illumination and the content being viewed on-screen. You can even tweak the judder settings for fast-action content. Colors pop very well and there are different levels of blacks available to choose from. Picture quality for my Nintendo Gamecube attached via RCA A/V cables is somewhat blurry, but was improved after adjusting the Sharpness setting on the TV. Loss of quality with GCN probably results from the signal quality and the stretching of the image to fill a 16:9 aspect ratio, rather than the TV itself. I have experienced no latency while playing my GCN on this model of TV. The TV itself is quite glossy and looks good in my bedroom, even when powered off. The beefy glass stand that is included in the box does swivel back and forth which is a nice touch. The only minor gripe I have about the unit that I received is that the glass stand (which came preassembled) had one of the two small tabs malformed as though part of it was missing. Not for sure, but I think that these tabs are used as guides when attaching the panel to the glass stand. So, no major problem, I think. I may call Samsung to double-check on this soon though. My first HDTV. Very nice specs and decent price. Samsung LCD HDTVs look significantly better than most brands in my opinion. I like that it can play AVI files from a USB. Black levels look good. Works great for games (XBox 360) - I don't notice any blur (thanks to 120Hz).

The "dynamic" contrast ratio makes the colors look fantastic, but it is dynamic so the colors change about once every half second. It's rarely noticeable - for instance, a mostly deep-black background with bright foreground objects that gradually grow dimmer or brighter - you'll notice the black background step-up and step-down in brightness every half second. Some video may look better in "Standard", like some TV shows and anime, although the specs do not state what the contrast ratio is for the non-dynamic color settings.

I was originally hesitant by the "Red Touch of Color". I'm not that much of a fan of red to want it around my TV for the next 5-10 years. But it's hardly noticeable, especially since the living room is usually dark when I use the TV. I'd've preferred plain gray (the Touch of Color may be distracting), but I wanted the B650's stats. The B640, although gray, didn't was less appealing with it's lower contrast ratio. Plus Best Buy was out of stock on it, and I really wanted to take home an HDTV that day, so the B650 won. As this is my first flat screen high definition television, my opinion is an inexperienced one. However, I'm very, very happy with my purchase so I have decided to share it in a a review. Prior to my purchase, I was concerned about screen reflections as my living room is very bright but I also preferred an lcd over a plasma/matte finish because I wanted the sharpest picture possible. The picture on this television is beautiful and any reflection or glare is barely noticible and easily corrected by using the "dynamic" screen mode. The rotating stand is perfect for my usage as my living is large and has two seating areas. Rotating the screen makes both areas comfortable for viewing if I want to view the screen straight on. Even if I had many people over, I could have the screen at an angle viewable by all. When you combine them, the bluray player can control the video mode on the TV so you're ensured that you're viewing the input at the best possible resolution. I had slight reservations over whether I should have sprung for the LED version, but those are out the window now seeing how good this TV looks. I've had this TV since early May and it is one fantastic TV. It's also a gorgeous TV even when turned off. At first I thought it might be too big for the room it was in. I was 10 feet away and it just overwhelmed my eyes. But after giving it more time and just loving the picture so much, I am now completely satisfied and extremely happy with this purchase.

I also ordered the TV stand from Amazon, a Bell'O AVSC-2124 model. This is a gorgeous stand and goes very well with the red touch of color samsung, which by the way you don't notice all that much in darker rooms. I can hold at least 4-5 peripherals and it was not that difficult to put together, even by myself. One word of caution, however, is that if you play games like Wii where you stand up, you may find the TV sets too low on the stand. I'm 5'3" and when I stand up I am looking down on the TV. It might be advisable to get a stand that allows you to raise the TV higher. But if you just sit on the couch or lounge chair and watch it from there, it is perfect. Beautiful wood grain front and black glass shelving makes this a simply gorgeous addition to the room.

Video games are totally awesome on it, to include PS3 and Wii games. I did need to tone down the dynamic picture that it had as it was too overwhelming for the eyes. But if you had lots of room between you and the TV it would be a great choice. As others have mentioned, the sound is not great and I will need to hook up an audio system to it to hear it better. For now I've got it locked on Clear Voice so I can hear that better. I also set the Auto motion setting to clear because when it was totally turned on the main characters in a scene looked 3D, which just wasn't natural enough for regular shows.

The delivery was great from CEVA, with the two men setting it up and they were very polite. I got it on sale at Amazon. That was a bit of a hassle as the TV went on sale 3 days after I purchased it. I hadn't even received it yet, but it had been delivered to CEVA for delivery. But to save $200 on the TV, it was worth cancelling the delivery from CEVA (cost $40), then reorder the TV again. So in the end I saved $160, but Amazon needs to improve their customer service in this area. They insisted on returning the first TV I ordered back to Amazon, then ship it again to CEVA when I reordered it at the lower price. The only winner was CEVA in the transaction, not Amazon. So suggestion to Amazon, if a TV hasn't been delivered from CEVA and the customer wants to simply cancel and reorder the same item to get the sale price, just give the customer the sale price and deliver the item already shipped to CEVA.

Other than that little snafu I would highly recommend this TV. I haven't even had time to totally hook up everything to it and see what it can really do, like blue-ray DVDs. These TVs are constantly going on sale too, so wait until you get a good price. I got it for $1584 with the $200 off, so wait for it to get down there again. There are no control buttons are light to see or touch to turn the Tv on,select channels or volume and etc. The volume is very low when connected to a home audio system. Initial set up directions for getting TV into the stand could be clearer but we did eventually figure it out. This TV certainly has a lot of viewing options. You can adjust contrast, 7 individual colors including flesh tones, backlight, sharpness, and a lot of other settings too numerous to mention. The TV remembers the settings for different viewing configurations. You can go to [www.samsung.com/us/support/main/supportSupportMain.do] and download a manual which will give you an idea of the other various settings. (you might want to do this anyway before you buy the LN46B650 so that you can study up on the various settings) This TV does not come with a printed manual. I was raised on the printed page so I miss not having a printed manual. The manual is on an included USB drive which can be accessed through one of the TV's USB ports or through a computer. I saved the USB content to my hardrive just in case.

This is a 1080p TV so should be good for awhile as far as future changes in broadcast industry. At this time I'm using it in 1080i mode as 1080p is not available thru Time Warner in my area. I can get 720p. I think this will be a good set to have as the digital broadcast industry continues to develop. I think the LN46B650's capability exceeds the broadcast quality available in my area at this time.

I do not have a laptop computer so I haven't used the internet options that this set has. My desk top is too far from the TV to run a cable. I suppose I could go wireless and get Samsung's optional LinkStick wireless receiver(available from Amazon for about $59 last time I checked) that plugs into one of the sets USB ports.

I toned down the contrast from the default 95 to around 50 and lessened some of the other default settings too, as I think this may add some to the longevity of the set. I believe that if you run an LCD full out i.e. high brightness and contrast that it decreases the screen life. Here again I think Samsung could do a better job of explaining the pros and cons of various setup options.

Our set is opposite a picture window and there is some glare on the screen as a result so I usually pull the shade to lessen the glare. I could boost the backlight setting instead to help compensate for glare. LCD sets are supposed to be better regading glare then plasma sets and I think overall it does pretty well.

Samsung hypes the Touch of Color (TOC) a lot and as far as I can see this is really no big deal. It certainly not something I would pay extra for if I had the choice.

Generally we're pretty happy with this set especially when viewing programs in HD which are gorgeous. We would buy this set again and recommend it to a friend. Overall I'd give it four and a half stars. I would have given it 5 stars if the speakers were more robust. Before purchasing this set I did A LOT of comparison viewing with other brands and I thought Samsung beat the others on flesh tones and overall had the best color. Interesting that this TV has a "store" mode and a "home" viewing mode. I suppose the store mode optimizes the viewing for that environment. I suspect stores boost or optimize TV settings to show TV's at their best. You probably will not run your set on maxed out settings at home as this affects longevity of the set. Hard to tell what a TV will really look like look like until it's set up in your home. Try to buy at a store that has a good refund/exchange policy in case you are not happy. I think most people will be very happy with this set.

The speakers in this unit are adequate but certainly not impressive. If you want to feel the sound you'll need external speakers. This set does have a built in equalizer and I tried boosting the bass some with little difference. One feature that we absolutely love is the auto volumn control. This is especially useful at night when other people may be in bed so that you do not get those annoyingly loud commercials blasting you out of the room. Auto volumn also eliminate volumn differences between stations. You can turn off the auto volumn control for daytime viewing. Again this set is very customizable. We've had this set for one month and I'm still learning the ins and outs of the numerous options available.

This set has a nice big viewing area but not too big. It was a significant investment for us and we feel lucky to have it. After putting up with our 27" RCA that was 15 years old and buzzed a lot and had color issues, this sure is nice. Very nice.

Wonderful picture, especially with HD input. Totally sharp, no fringes or visual noise.

The delivery and installation was very professional. One recommendation: put something like an old sheet on the floor where they will open the box. From the delivery truck floor, the box can pick up some black smudges, which can transfer to your floor.

We have the TV in a corner facing diagonally out away from windows in both walls of the corner, and this way glare is no problem on the glossy face. The 46" is a good size for our small living room.

It's a good looking unit, and the few wires can be hidden behind the center post with a built-in strap and a supplied wrap-around white tube. The Red Touch is nice, but barely noticeable.

A USB thumb drive can be plugged in behind the right-hand edge. One way to use that is to use a computer to load the drive with pictures (jpg) and/or tunes (mp3). Then press "MEDIA.P" on the remote, select the thumb drive (with the red remote button), and select a stream of music or pictures. Pictures that are sized 1920x1080 pixels fit the screen perfectly and are very sharp.

Overall I think this is a good TV, however based on all the positive reviews I read before buying it I am a little disappointed.

On the positive side the picture quality, color and contrast are all top notch. The menus are also very clear and intuitive. The styling of the TV is also very sleek and looks great in the room.

On the negative side, the audio quality with the internal speakers is terrible. I think it may have to do with the fact that the speakers are on the back or underside of the TV and not forward facing. If you're hooking this up to a home theater then you should be fine. If not it's going to sound like you're listening to your clock radio.

Another gripe is that it's hard to tell when the TV is on or off. When you turn it on or off there is a sound for each (which I personally find annoying) and it's hard to differentiate which sound means what. there is also a tiny indicator light (which I find hard to see from the viewing distance) and it goes on when the TV is off which seem counter-intuitive.

Another disappointment is that remote doesn't appear to be a universal remote that you can use to control other devices. If it does, it isn't intuitive enough for me to figure it out.

Which brings me to my last gripe. To make it even more frustrating there is no paper manual. There is a paper quick guide, but if you want to find out details on how to use specific features you have to use the onscreen e-manual. I may be old skool, but having to read and e-manual to learn how to operate your tv is like learning how to drive a car while reading the instructions off the windshield. Also reading white text on a dark background from the couch at standard TV resolution is hard on the eyes. Ive been using my PC as a TV for the last 7 years. Last year I got a new Dell XPS 720 with the dell 24 inch ( 2408) LCD. This is my baseline comparison.
Now, to my new B650 with ATT Uverse HD. The 650 with U verse seems hit or miss. Some programs seem real sharp, and others somewhat pixelated. For example: Watching blue planet on U verse, picture the satellite view of a moving planet earth with the oceans and land moving below. Well, in the ocean area you can clearly see the the blues, and the pixels as they move and re organize, its strange. Its lame actually. Now, on my PC I dont see that, just a crystal clear picture.
So if anyone knows, why this could be, please let me know. Oh yea, If Im watching Hanity on the Fox News Network, his hair is constantly flickering, Im not sure if it the lighting, the TV, or U verse or all. But it too is lame.

After searching reviews and going to stores to look in person, it was between the Sony 5100, Sammy B650 and sharp. After seeing the sharp in person i knew it was not for me, looked decent, but low numbers. I narrowed it down to the sony and sammy. I decided on the sammy based on how good it looked in person. I am thrilled with this TV it is everything that Samsung says it is. However no product registration card was in the box and the user manual came on a USB flash drive that I used in my PC but was unable to open the files sine it was a flash format and no web browser could open the files. Maybe you need to plug in the USB drive into the TV. Anyway since I was wall mounting the TV I had to go to the Samsung website and download the user manual as a PDF to determine the correct size for the screws to mount the TV to the wall mount. Since it is a wall mounted TV the sound is great and no need for any sound bar. The picture is very bright and can be used in direct sunlight if needed. I played a DVD using SONY BDP-S360 and playback was stunning with the HDMI cable. This TV beats any Sony LCD TV on the market. The dispay is fast enough and no artifacts are noticed on a fast pan scene. Ordered through Amazon and not with any other so the delivery was great and the carrier called to schedule a time

My experience with this product has been great. Samsung knocked it out of the park starting with this series. That said, the only issue I have is due to a feature that influenced my buying decision, Internet@TV. Something happened and 3 weeks after purchase, it disconnected from the router. The connection is with an ethernet cable directly to the Netgear router. It worked fine for 3 weeks, downloaded the youtube widget, worked fine. Then shortly after I upgraded the software to version 1008, something caused the ethernet port to be disabled. Not even the led's light up in the back when it gets plugged in. I hope this can easily be fixed, just haven't spoken to the right tech person (most of whom have no idea internet feature even exists). The problem lies in this upgrade, so if you value this feature, don't upgrade the software! Other than that, the usb ports work fine, have one connected to 500GB drive with movies and pictures. Plays all but .MOV video files. Sometimes bugs out when connected to camera, will not display videos on card after photo viewing unless reinserted. Home network connection only works if you have wifi dongle. My bypass for internet usage is connecting an Archos 5 via HDMI which gives me 720p resolution and crisp viewing from 12 feet away. I would recommend this and future iterations like the LED versions 7000 and up. This was my first ever TV purchase. I have always been spoiled a bit when it comes to home theater since my father was such a nut about it, but since I moved out on my own I really didn't want to compromise on the picture quality I have been used to for years now.

The picture quality is stunning, the colors are bright and clear, and the aesthetics of the TV alone are great for any decor. I just got rid of my Sony DLP and got this Samsung HDTV and what a difference!
The picture is crisp and bright...
The only drawback is the DLNA software it came with, it's very confusing where I had to manually set the Device Policy to even have the TV recognize and very limited file support...
I'm now using different DLNA software from Transtechnology called Ultimate CS which is easier with better media support like .rm and .mov files are also supported...

CONS:
*the glare is pretty bad (I knew this could be a problem ahead of time); if you have windows/lamps anywhere in your viewing room, YOU WILL HAVE A GLARE!
*the delivery experience was a disaster - I selected a delivery day/time (10am - 1pm)...long story short, the delivery company called me on the delivery day @ 5pm (4 hours AFTER) and asked to deliver it a couple days beyond the white glove appointment - HELLO! I took off of work to arrange being there....thanks for nothing!
*the image quality sucks on non-HD channels...this is a global problem, not specific to this or any model...just felt like jabbing...
*the cdnet menu tweaks seemed to be for a previous menu release b/c some of the menu locations changed...I wasn't a fan of the dark room watching settings...
*no svideo input (this I also knew ahead of time)

I haven't quite figured out the 120Hz setting that perfects both sports and game play, but I'm working on it...
All in all, I would make this purchase again in a heartbeat. Rock on Samsung...you complete me.

Based on an expert review at CNET, the Samsung 46B750 is the "best LCD TV" while Samsung 46B650 was rated "better than most LCD TVs" on the market. After watching numerous TVs for about 2 months at various stores, I tend to agree with CNET. Since The Samsung 46B750 was going for $1699, I decided to get the Samsung 46B650 for only $1365.

Beautiful picture out of the box and after some minor adjustments, I could not be happier. I always bought Sony TVs for the last 25 years but this Samsung had a better picture and contrast ratio than the Sony 46V5100. I have a 32 inch Sony LCD in my bedroom and the picture on the Samsung is much brighter, clearer and more user friendly. For example, the remote has a keyboard light button and the menu is easier to navigate. I set the dejudder to zero and anti-blur to 10 as recommended by CNET and I have yet to see any blurred picture in fast action sporting events.

The color is bright and perfectly balanced and natural looking. Watching Blu-Ray DVD will amaze you. Watching standard definition on Comcast cable is just OK but 720p and 1080i Comcast cable programming will make you appreciate this TV. The only issue that I found is that the colors become lighter if you are watching the television about 45 degrees off angle.

Unless Sony improves their product line, I will now buy Samsung for the next 25 years.

First let me say the ordering process was easy delevery was very fast.
Commected set have excellent picture and sound. Setup was made very easy.
The manual was on a flash drive would rather have had a hard copy. Samsung web site has manual that can be downloaded and printed it is 98 pages long maybe that is why they provide it on a flash drive.

The 650A is an excellent set in terms of picture quality; Amazon's price and delivery were also excellent. My set began to power cycle, that is, turn off and come back on without warning or human intervention. It now refuses to turn on and proceeds to click, flash it lights, and play its musical notes over and over, until unplugged. Others have reported similar experiences with Samsung sets and they believe the problem is with inadequate capacitors and cheap soldering. So be warned - this requires a costly repair and communicating with Samsung is no picnic, the English on their website is far from perfect and the Indian accents on their 800 number is difficult to understand. In fairness, I own another Samsung LCD, older, smaller and cheaper than the 650A, and have had no problems. We bought this TV in May of '09. The picture was great. We had done our research and waited 9 months to buy the "best". After 5 months (never moved the TV, sat on stand the entire time) the TV picture went out in the middle of a show. Samsung is sending out a repair company that will take 3 days to 2 weeks to repair! Samsung will NOT replace the TV unless ALL repair aspects have been exhausted (per their warranty). When you pay this much for a TV you'd think it would last longer than 5 months! NEVER will I buy a Samsung. Also, their customer service, though very nice is inapt and unable to help with any issue. They feel their job is done because they passed it onto a repair company to handle. As far as extended warranties: if your product is suppose to be so good why would you need to insure it? Even with "more" warranties attached we'd still have to wait for the parts and repair scheduling.... I'm afraid we got a lemon. Buyer beware.

for the price this is the best deal i couldve gotten (i paid $1,099 at Frys in store!!), i also am a huge samsung fan and they make top notch displays, the colors are great, easy to calibrate on my own with the DVE bluray hd essentials disc, the contrast and colors are awesome, 120hz is perfect for everything i watch, i'm seriously in the process of watching every bluray movie i own over again because it just looks THAT good in 1080p on this set, and even 1080i sources like Netflix HD instant watch look great from my xbox 360, the brightness and contrast also make it easy on the eye to watch, plus it has widgets! even connecting my macbook pro to the display looks great, and it has FOUR hdmi inputs! also my living room is pretty bright and i dont catch glare that easy as long as the window behind me is dark, light from the side doesnt effect the tv too much, i'm glad i waited for the price to go down, i still cant find it cheaper anywhere, and buy your hdmi cables at MONOPRICE! but seriously buy this tv, it is awesome

the only downside for me is the ToC red bezel (which is IN the actual frame, it's not something that turn on and off people, i dont know where you are getting that idea) it just doesnt really match with anything i got, luckily you cant even tell its there when youre watching the tv, there is also a little bit of glare, but like i said, if its off to the side it wont matter but if its behind you youll have to do something about that

Ordered TV on Friday Oct.2 and received it on Monday Oct.5, how is this for Service.! Package was in good condition with no damage. Price was $ 200.00 cheaper than any other stores I have checked and I checked about 50 of them, and shipping was free. Picture resolution, colors and features, are excellent and easily outperform far higher priced competitors LCDTV's. I'f also purchased a Home Theater HT-Z420 from Samsung so that I can use one remote for the whole setup due to the Anynet+ feature of Samsung's electronic products. However it took some doing to make everything work together.
Here is what I have: Motorola DCH6200 Digital HD Cable Box, Samsung LN-46B650 LCDTV, Samsumg HT-Z420 Hometheater
Here is what I did:
Remove TV cable from Cable Box and install 2way splitter. Get 2 short TV Cables and install one cable from splitter to Cable Box and the second TV Cable from Splitter to your LCDTV. Install HDMI cable from Cable Box to HDMI 1 IN on your LCDTV. Now you can use your LCDTV remote for all standard TV channels and your Cable Box remote for HBO,Cinemax etc.
Connect all Speakers to your HT-Z420 Home Theater, Install HDMI Cable and Digital Optical Cable between your Hometheater. Since your Home Theater remote has more functions for you DVD player, it is preferable to use this remote instead of the LCDTV remote. If you use HDMI cable only between your Hometheater and your LCDTV, most likely you will not be able to use the Hometheater speakers when watching regular TV channels. At least mine did not work. Overall,I am extremely happy with the Samsung Products and will post more reviews down the road.

I love everything about this tv except the buttons. There are no actual buttons, just touch sensitive controls. This makes it a bit difficult to turn on or off, etc without the remote.

Other than the buttons the picture is beautiful (pop a blu-ray in and you'll see what I mean), and at the time I purchased it the technology for the dollar was unparalelled. I would say for people looking now you may want to consider the 240hz model for a little more or hold off and get the LED tvs coming out now.
